Fabulous Cup 2009 Announcement

The 5th Fabulous Cup will be held from 1-4 May 2009, in Cologne, Germany.

This competition follows the ISI competition rules. There will be also be a gala show featuring the participants.

Figure skater gives birth two days AFTER she died

Jayne Solimon (maiden name Jayne Campbell), was 25 weeks pregnant when she collapsed and died of a brain haemorrhage. Two days later, her daughter was born!

Mrs Soliman had been healthy throughout her pregnancy, and continued working as a coach at Bracknell Skating Club. She was on the ice last Wednesday before she suddenly collapsed in her bedroom after complaining of a headache.

She was flown by air ambulance to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford but hours later, in the early evening, was declared brain dead.

Doctors told devastated [husband Mahmoud] Soliman that an aggressive tumour had rapidly developed in her brain in just a few weeks - and had suddenly ruptured a major blood vessel.

Singapore 8th National Figure Skating Competition 2009

Singapore's 8th National figure skating competition will be held on 7 & 8 March 2009 at Kallang Ice World. The announcement and any further updates will be available on the TBISC website.
