Velocity Challenge - Post Event

This post is long overdue!

The 2nd Velocity Challenge went well, and the participants seemed to have a good time. Competition was on Saturday (28 Nov) and a series of 3 performances on Sunday (29 Nov). The skaters drew crowds to the side of the rink, and also to the 2nd & 3rd floors.

My students did not disappoint - they all put in their best at the competition. Congratulations to all of you... I am proud of you :-)


I didn't have much time to take any photos - forget the fact that I didn't even bring my camera. However, my niece took the following video of my performance on Sunday. She was on the 2nd floor, behind the backdrop, so the angle is kinda interesting... There was also lots of background noise, so it is almost impossible to hear the music!

2010 ISU Adult Figure Skating Competition

The 2010 ISU Adult Figure Skating Competition will be held in Oberstdorf, Germany on 19-23 May, 2010.

Events include Free Skating, Pairs Skating, Ice Dance (Compulsory Dance, Original Dance & Free Dance), Synchronized Skating and Artistic.

In order to complete the competition by Saturday evening, the Draw Party has been tentatively scheduled on Wednesday afternoon, 19 May at 14:00 h. This means that the competition itself might start on Wednesday evening - so some people must be prepared to skate on Wednesday evening. The final schedule should be available by mid-April.
