Michelle Kwan to Open Marina Bay Sands Skating Rink: One of the most anticipated events in The Shoppes will be the opening of the skating rink at 2pm on December 18th and at 2pm on December 19th. One of the greatest figure skaters of all time, Michelle Kwan will be the celebrity guest performer, marking it officially open. Michelle dominated the sport like no other skater in history, winning an unprecedented 43 championships, including five World Championships and two Olympic medals.

The skating rink is located at the Canal area, near the Helix bridge. Premier Advantage members may be eligible to redeem 2 invites for the performance OR a photo-taking with Michelle Kwan if you spend $300 and above! Promotion sign-up for Premier Advantage is from 5 to 19 Dec at the Casino Entrance on Level B2 of Retail Area. Opening hours are 10am to 10:30pm daily.

btw- Chow, I'm back figure skating again. No jumps or spins this time though, the magical world of ice dance has captivated me. My coach is a fellow modern dancer and she is two time US Silver Medalist, Eve Chalom. Wish I had been more serious about ice dance back when I was training 10 years ago with Xiao Lei, Carolyn, Zhang Mo, and Cai Shu!
