Midori Ito returns to competition

Midori Ito, the first woman to land a triple Axel in competition, will return to competition this summer! She will compete at ISU International Adult Figure Skating Competition to be held in Oberstdorf, Germany, on June 8-11.

Midori Ito is known for her technically difficult programs, especially at the peak of her elite skating career. Here is her long program at the 1989 Worlds where she won Gold:


Her participation is most certainly welcomed by the adult skating world and we hope more elite skaters will join in the competitions!
